We’re exploring some of the likely issues in the near to medium term
With unheard-of workplace disruption and historical levels of unemployment around the world, HR leaders and practitioners have never had to be more effective. There’s a demand for innovation in each small decision and action we take. No one can wait for benchmarks to emerge yet mistakes can cost lives. Rather than hyperbolic claims that HR’s time has finally arrived, we’ve begun to explore some of the likely issues in the near to medium term.
Where to start?
Ask small, tactical questions, to help you envision the daily and coming realities. That’s why we called this series, Small Scenarios for Changing Times. Each free issue from vetted business leaders, legal specialists, generalists, and experts is a digestible paper that tackles the emerging HR and Recruiting issues in the coronavirus pandemic (no sign-ups of any kind are required to download any of the ten issues that we’ve published to date). Each issue is summarized and linked below.
Why Questions?
HR is always a reflection of the organization it lives in. Dramatic proclamations about the content and shape of even the nearest future are rarely directly applicable in the particulars of your context. We think questions are more important than broad generalizations about what to do.
Two provocative topics covered in two action-oriented pages
We acknowledge that The Small Scenarios project is an experiment. We want the content to be easily available and easy to redistribute. Each paper is constrained to two provocative, action-oriented pages on topics that will matter as we navigate the pandemic. We are trying to utilize scenario thinking for medium-term topics.
