The SHRM Cost Per Hire (CPH)Standard
File this somewhere, you’re going to want to refer to it. This is the first real output of the SHRM standards task force. It’s comprehensive from a framework perspective. It leaves a little to be desired from a practical perspective. If you want to understand your organization’s overall CPH, start here. If you want to understand the variances between jobs and the actual cost (organizational impact), you’ll want to build on this bit.
